Nearly a year after the Nepal earthquake, the World Health Organization (WHO) urged South-East Asian countries to frame stronger policies as part of disaster preparedness.
With over 9,000 people died, 22,309 injured and 80% of the healthcare facilities in the affected areas either damaged or destroyed, the AIDF Asia Summit 2016 will host a timely Panel Discussion on Lessons Learnt from Nepal with Brian Kelly, Regional Advisor for Asia and the Pacific, Emergency and Post-Crisis Unit, International Organization for Migration (IOM) and representative of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)
