Antony is currently coordinating and managing information and communications technology (ICT) activities of the “Strengthening Pre-service Teacher Education in Myanmar” project of UNESCO office in Myanmar, in addition to providing technical support to the upgrade of teacher education colleges in Myanmar and supporting the delivery of a new teacher education curriculum and courses.

Antony managed the “ICT for Education: Mobile Broadband in Myanmar” project of UNESCO office in Myanmar, which was the first of its kind in providing a teacher profession development programme on ICT-pedagogy integration via mobile broadband and mobile devices in rural/semi-urban Government schools in the country.

Prior to working in Myanmar, Antony served at UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau for Education in Bangkok about research work on quality education for the future and consultations on the Sustainable Development Goals on education beyond 2015.

He holds a master’s degree in international comparative education from Stanford University, a master’s degree in sociology and education from Teachers College, Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communication from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
