Wivina Belmonte

Ms. Belmonte is UNICEF’s Deputy Regional Director for East Asia Pacific, overseeing UNICEF programmes in 14 Country Offices and 28 countries. She joined the Regional Office in Bangkok in December 2015 and has been with UNICEF for over 16 years. As UNICEF’s Representative in Malaysia, she was leading the organization’s work on digital citizenship, child online protection and exploring how innovation can deliver bigger, better, faster results for children. Ms. Belmonte graduated from Harvard’s Kennedy School where she received the Barbara Jordan Award for Women’s Leadership. She is a national of Spain and Canada.
